Whether preventing ice-balls from forming between your pup's toes, protecting their paws from rocky trails during summer hikes, or keeping their little feeties off cold, salty sidewalks, our booties are designed with all seasons in mind. We teamed up with veteran sled dog racers in the USA to make the same booties their sled dogs wear. They're lighter, better fitting, and stay on more effectively than traditional, clunky rubber booties.

Sizing

Small (orange) - 2.5" wide x 5⅜" tall
Medium (blue) - 3" wide x 5½" tall
Large (green) - 4" wide x 5⅝" tall

Choose the size that is an inch bigger than the width of your dogs foot for proper fit. Measure the foot at the widest spot while your dog is standing with weight on the foot.

A yellow ruler with black markings features a gray paw print spread across it, with toes stretching from 0 to 2 and the pad by the number 2, ideal for measuring sled dogs’ paw sizes for custom Dog Booties.

(This dogs foot is 2-1/2" wide so after adding an inch the dog would need a size medium.)

Recommended Use

These boots are made for walkin’... or running, jumping, zooming, whatever! Be sure to measure and order the correct size, and tighten the velcro straps super snug for the best fit. Replacements are affordable and sold individually if needed. Wilderdog booties come with a lightweight mesh baggie for easy storage, organization, and the ability to dry quickly when wet.

The booties can be used for summer walks - they do provide some barrier between paws and the ground - but always do the 8 second touch test before taking your pup out on hot days. If you don't want to keep the back of your hand on the ground for 8 seconds due to heat, schedule your walk for later in the day when it's cooler out.

This was first year my pups tried booties. Here in Maine we had a lot of snow this year so far, and it gets really cold, single digits or negative digits with wind chill. I noticed the dogs would go out in the snow and if they were too long the freezing cold would burn the pads of their feet. They stand there and lift one paw and wait, then sometimes would cry if I walked them back to house, too heavy to carry. These booties are great. At first they weren't sure how to walk in them, but soon they were off running and playing together. Their rough play would knock them off, but we tighten them to make them stay on, now only one dog loses a bootie, but I expect they are difficult to stay on with rough play. If I let them out one at a time, they walk around with no problems. They are warm and help keep their paws safe. This is best booties I've ever tried and they walk pretty well in them.

Bought one pair for my dog that outgrew his hand-me down Ruffwear booties. These are great! Way better flex and grip and not as stiff/hard to put on. Ordered 2 more pairs for the other dogs!
